In Uganda, an estimated 80% of girls experience period poverty. In the Mubende District, many
girls rely on unsafe materials to manage their menstrual cycles, causing missed school days,
increased health risks, and, in some cases, school dropout. A natural biological process should
never cost a girl her education or dignity.

Our Mission
To empower girls through menstrual health education and access to sustainable hygiene resources, helping them remain healthy, confident, and in school. No girl should have to choose between her education and her dignity. Join us in expanding HerDignity and making a lasting difference one girl at a time.
Our Goal
50 girls supported during the pilot phase
Goal: reach 1,700 girls currently attending school in village communities throughout Mubende
District
How you can help
Her Dignity focuses on education first, paired with sustainable solutions. Girls receive age-appropriate menstrual health education, locally made reusable sanitary towels, and instruction on proper hygiene and care.
The cost to support one girl for an entire year is just $100 USD. Your gift helps keep girls in school,
reduce health risks, restore confidence, and create lasting change through education.
