From the village to the big city of Kampala—
this is the story of transformation.
One young girl grew up with a passion for beauty and creativity, always dressing up and dreaming big. As she matured, she pursued her education, eventually earning a degree in Fashion Design. When she was introduced to Possibilities Unlimited, she shared her vision, and we stepped in to help make it a reality.
With sewing machines, materials, and the essentials for a small shop, she is now successfully running her own fashion business in Kampala. Her boutique offers ready-to-wear clothing as well as custom designs ranging from casual wear to elegant wedding gowns and suits.
But her story doesn’t stop there. She gives back to her home village, equipping others with the same opportunities she received. To date, she has donated eight sewing machines, fabric, and supplies to start a training program for both young men and women, preparing them with the skills to launch businesses of their own.
Flow Forward is dedicated to empowering women and girls by breaking the cycle of period poverty. We believe every girl deserves the dignity, confidence, and opportunity to thrive—without being held back by something as natural as her menstrual cycle.
Our mission is to create sustainable solutions by teaching women and girls how to sew and produce reusable menstrual products. Through hands-on training, they gain valuable skills in sewing, entrepreneurship, and financial independence. By producing and selling these reusable products, they not only address an urgent health and social need but also create pathways toward building a brighter, more self-sufficient future.
